Temple Meads Station was the Bristol terminus of the GWR. It was designed by Brunel in a 15th-century style and completed in 1840: its hammer beam roof has a greater span than Westminster Hall. These platforms are no longer seen by the travelling public who use the 1865 'joint' station.
