Caption: An aerial view of Stonehenge and the processional Avenue from the north-west. The present stone circle is the last phase in the development of this ritual 'henge' monument which was built between 3000-1600 BC. The low enclosing circular bank and ditch can also be seen. The structure is aligned along the rising of the sun at the midsummer solstice.
