Caption: This flint mine has been radiocarbon dated to the range 4,000-3,100 BC. The hollows, which are the backfilled shafts surrounded by spoilheaps, are mainly to the west (bottom left) of an Iron Age Hillfort, which is the raised area surrounded by a rampart in this picture.
